My oh my this is one noisy enterprise, the sort that could knock some sideways thanks to ramshackle and entirely noisy ways. San Fran’s Luna Ivy do wield something beyond all the falling apart aesthetics however and it comes in the form of a singer on ‘Batteries Not Included’ who exhibits no degree of intention to ever slow down, even if its origins are of a Slowdive shoegaze direction. For the most part however this track rattles along with such abandonment it just felt like a celebration of indie creativity. KH
