Motel Memphis – Sweet Lies

I was getting some Empire of the Sun in ‘Sweet Lies’ and that is a compliment as Motel Memphis appear capable of knocking out a chorus that has a summer glow. In many ways the sweet things that emerge have the antidote for a bad day because the circulation is so consistently happy go lucky. Summer is here and we need tracks this sucrose to ensure we can hold onto the good vibes for as long as possible. There’s a tweeness too, which was even more boon to our day. KH
