Lizzie Townsend – The Wake

The quietness of a church mouse about that opening and we were glad of it because it made what came next all the more special. Lizzie Townsend comes with a basket of neat vocal melodies you see, the kind that add something to our heart pitter pattering. ‘The Wake’ is folk and indie pop and all things nice, we didn’t even need the strings but when they arrived it was clear that the treats are of the rare kind of numerous. Special. KH
