Wild Nothing – Golden Haze
He is far too young to have been there at the time but that doesn’t mean Wild Nothing’s Jack Tatum isn’t fully informed on the constructs of a great eighties pop song. You only have to listen to his version of Kate Bush’s ‘Cloudbusting’ to understand that this kid is a creative obsessive. And if delorean could still pull off that trick I’m sure China Crisis could yet become a 50% more populated combo. But, we are dealing with the here and now and Wild Nothing are paving the way for a gloriously lo-fi indie pop future. The roadmap is called ‘Gemini’ and could be a genuine (t)winner.
