Team Me – Dear Sister
Trondheim’s Team Me sure caught our attention last year with their splendid ‘Show Me’ single. In the end it easily made the cut for our best songs of 2012 and had we heard of them in 2011 I’m sure ‘Dear Sister’ would have also featured in that years exalted rundown. What distinguishes Team Me from all the others is their rich vocal dynamics that sees the boy/girl vocals tied at the hip. The collective are never slow to experiment in the instrumental stakes either with all manner of sonic escapades being thrown into the tumble dryer on ‘Dear Sister’. In less qualified hands it could have sounded a mess but this Norwegian patchwork quilt is one you’ll snuggle up to time and again. KD
