The Wind Whistles – Bats In Flight
How nice it is to find labels like Aaahh Records who go about their business with the minimum of fuss despite a seam of talent in their locker. Bright sparks like the zany Canadian duo the Wind Whistles who appear largely undetected even though they’ve offered the world tunes as fanciful as ‘Bats In Flight’. It skitters and embarks on endless flights of giddyness but it has all the hallmarks of something that could attract a cult like following. Why not plunder the album it comes from for free courtesy of our now favourite German label. KD
