There is absolutely no escaping the shadow of My Bloody Valentine here, the kind that has been tried so many times before only for the fuzzy headed shoegaze wannabees to fall flat on their floppy fringed faces. The Snuggalos, made up of husband and wife team Daniel and Morla Mccarthy, are different though as they somehow wrestle freshness from the heap of chord carnage and off-kilter vocals to leave us staring blankly into the near distance owing to its uncommonly strong grip on our daytime consciousness. Oh this is really lovely. KH
