No Waves – Missing All

My oh my there is so much action going down here, a Montreal act who are going to make plenty of waves because they’ve got the elixir of youthfulness coursing through their veins and out through their words and frantic playing. It is punk but with a pop register because we can detect the sense of melody/harmony amid the flotilla of percussive rampaging. Surprised myself how much I liked it and that might be because of the sheer ferocity and the lack of similar spectacle in the bands of 2023. They could yet be the noisy heroes we have been looking for, the successors to And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead sense of glorious abandonment. The ‘Postcard’ EP is out now. KH
